Approximately 79 percent of young couples in Singapore will contemplate living in an executive condominium (EC) enabled with smart technologies, according to results from an online survey carried out before this year by Qingjian Realty.
The research polled 100 respondents between 20 to 40 years old, to measure their attitudes towards living that was smart.
Safety, energy efficiency and advantage were listed among the very best smart home features that will appeal to them. Other features that respondents would like to see are smart lighting, smart air-conditioning and smart security.
“We’re working on translating this notion of a model futuristic home into one where a residence is fitted with smart technologies that are available and practical for individuals in Singapore,” said Li Jun, General Manager, Qingjian.
“The input signals from these youthful couples have further enriched our understanding of expected homeowners’ viewpoints.”
Qingjian conducted amid plans the survey to launch The Visionaire in Sembawang, Singapore’s first Smart EC in April.
Several new private condominiums this year establishing are also adopting smart house technologies. For instance, The Wisteria condo in Yishun, which establishes in March, will have attributes that allow homeowners to remotely control door entrance and air conditioning using a device that is smart.
